Reedu: The First Explorer Screen Shots / Illustrations / Jacob Richardson

Included in this folder are shots from both Episodes 1 (released in May 2011) and 2 (yet to be released). Each screen shot gives an example of the aesthetic style I communicated to my art director and game programmers as we moved from the pre-production sketching phase to completion. I wanted to shape an environment that lived and breathed and felt thrilling yet entertaining. The show "Lost" was a big inspiration as well as Tim Burton films. I believe the kept a golden thread of atmosphere running throughout both episodes which in the end makes a more immersing experience for the player.
